Phone Instructions

To Transfer an Outside Call to Someone 
With the line still open (that is, while the caller can still hear you), press the gray Feature button, then 9 8 6;  then dial the three-digit extension number of the person to whom you wish to transfer the call.  The display will show “call transferred”;  at this point, you may hang up.

To Page Somebody to Pick Up an Outside Call
With the line open (with the caller still on the phone), press the yellow Park button (or press Feature 7 4), and note in the display on what line the call is parked.  (It will say “Parked on 101” or  “Parked on 102”, or the like.)  Then press the gray Page – Both – All buttons, wait for just a moment, and begin your announcement.  Your announcement should sound like this:  “John Jones, please pick up the call on Line 101.  John, Line 101.”  Press the orange Rls button (release) to end the page;  then hang up.

If you should make a mistake while pressing the gray Page – Both – All series of buttons, and you lose the intercom, just press the gray Pageall button, wait a moment, and then begin your announcement.  Remember to press the orange Rls button before hanging up.

Conference Calling
To conference call, make sure you have two calls, one active and one on hold.
Press [Feature] and then [3]
Press the appropriate button to retrieve the held call.

If you are already on a call you'd like to conference,
place the first call on hold,
dial the second number,
press [Feature] and then [3]
press the appropriate button to retrieve the held call.

Initializing Your Mailbox
On your phone, Press Feature 9 8 1 to open your mailbox
Press 0 0 0 0 (the default password) and press #
Choose a password for 4 to 8 digits long that does not start with zero.  Enter your new mailbox password and press #
Enter you new mailbox password again and press #
At the tone, record your name in the Company Directory.
Press Rls to end this session.

Access Voicemail From An Outside Line
Dial your telephone number, wait for Norstar Voicemail to answer and then press * *
Enter your mailbox number and password
